Rajiv Shukla was appointed as Chief Executive Officer since October 2019 after being appointed as Chief Executive Officer (Acting) since April 2019. In his current role he is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board and senior management to establish long-term goals, strategies and plans for the Company. He contributes to the strategic and financial objectives of HSBC Saudi Arabia whilst adhering to CMA Standards and adopting international standards as appropriate.

Rajiv joined HSBC Saudi Arabia (HSBC SA) in 2004 and has led the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) business from February 2015 to March 2019. In this capacity, he headed the institutional businesses involved in Investment Banking (across debt and equity, advisory and financing) and Securities Services (including Custody, Fund Services, and Trust/Loans Agency); prior to which he was Head of Investment Banking for HSBC SA from October 2011. Previous roles in HSBC SA were Head of Capital Financing, Director & Head of Debt Capital Markets. Rajiv has 28 years of experience that includes eight years with Citibank in Asia immediately prior to joining HSBC SA.

He holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from the Asian Institute of Management.

Faris is the Deputy CEO of HSBC Saudi Arabia since April 2021. Prior to that, Faris was leading the investment banking, capital markets and issuers services business and operations for HSBC in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, overlooking Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, M&A and Project Financing and other advisory business in KSA. Faris' prior experience includes managing and executing several M&As and IPOs in Saudi Arabia and internationally.

Before his current position, Faris worked for several years at ABN AMRO Rothschild in London, UK in the origination and execution of IPOs and other ECM deals on the London Stock Exchange. Faris has over 15 years of professional experience. In addition to his expertise in the Saudi market, Faris investment banking experience covers other EMEA emerging markets (GCC countries, Eastern Europe and the CIS countries). 

Faris is also an Independent Director at the Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee of a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the MENA region. Faris is also an Independent Director at the Board of a leading consumers company in the Kingdom.

Faris holds MBA from the Jones School of Business at Rice University and a BSc in accounting from Prince Sultan University (first honors).

Khalid was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of HSBC Saudi Arabia as of 14 November 2021 after being appointed as Acting Chief Operating Officer on 06 May 2021, prior to which he was the Chief Information Officer since March 2018 and was heading the IT function for close to 3 years; he was responsible for delivering the IT Workbook in addition to ensuring a strong and resilient IT Operations function with particular emphasis on control and governance. Furthermore, he formulated the Technology Strategy for HSBC Saudi Arabia.

Prior to HSBC Saudi Arabia, Khalid was heading the PMO department in AlRajhi Capital for 5 years.

Overall, Khalid has more than 17 years of experience in the industry (out of which 5 years in the USA with IBM and HP).

He holds a MSc and a BSc, both in Computer Science from Wichita State University, in addition to various industry certifications including PMP, COBIT, ITIL and Six Sigma Green Belt.

Osama was appointed as Chief Investment Officer of HSBC Saudi Arabia as of 09 May 2022.

Osama Alowedi has more than 16 years of investment management experience and a long term track record of successfully managing investment funds and portfolios in diverse geographies and asset classes with focus on publicly traded securities in the MENA region.

Throughout his career, Osama has successfully managed substantial amount of assets in MENA markets following an investment philosophy that’s is grounded in rational and sound principles and an investment process that is based on strong fundamental research, long term orientation, and disciplined implementation.

Prior to joining HSBC, Osama has co-founded Value Capital Partners, a CMA regulated asset management company, where he served as CEO and CIO providing fund and discretionary portfolio management services to various types of investors including GREs, corporates, family offices, and high net worth individuals. Prior to that, Osama served as Head of Investment Management at GIB Capital where he established the MENA public equity and fixed income fund and portfolio management function. He also has worked at high profile financial institutions such as SNB Capital where he was a Vice President and senior portfolio manager and Samba Financial Group where he worked on structured credit and emerging markets fixed income investments.

Osama is a CFA charter holder with dual MBA degrees from Columbia Business School (USA) and London Business School (UK).

Khalid Al Mohamel has an overall 24 years of experience in the Brokerage field and was appointed as Acting Head of Brokerage at HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited in October 2016 and is currently appointed as Head of Brokerage as of March 2017.

In this role he is responsible for leading, directing and managing HSBC's Brokerage execution department activities and ensuring best practice on orders execution across all financial markets along with providing the highest service quality to customers as well as complying with the business’s regulatory requirement, internal policies and HSBC Group standards

In 1993 he started his career with United Saudi Bank as a Brokerage Officer from 1993 to 1999. Khalid also worked in The Saudi British Bank "SABB" as a Brokerage Operations Manager until February 2007, and since he joined HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited he worked in various roles as a Senior Project Manager up to January 2011, Head of Operation in September 2011, and then, Head of Electronic Trading in September 2016.

Suhaib AlZaid has joined HSBC Saudi Arabia on 1st December 2021 to lead the HR team as Head of Human Resources. Suhaib joins us from AXA Cooperative Insurance where, most recently, he led the HR Team for the AXA business in Saudi Arabia.  Suhaib has a wealth of professional HR experience working in HR roles since 2011 across multiple sectors including Manufacturing and Financial Services. Prior to AXA, Suhaib held HR roles at Arab National Bank and Bank Saudi Fransi in Saudi Arabia. He brings a proven commercial, pragmatic, problem-solving mindset to the role – along with a global perspective having worked in multinational firm such as AXA Insurance.

Sanka Adikaram was appointed as Senior Manager, Internal Audit in HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited (HSBC SA) in October 2016. The Internal Audit function reports directly to the HSBC SA Audit Committee and his primary role is to provide independent assurance that HSBC SA's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.

Sanka has over 10 years of Internal Audit experience and was previously working for HSBC London as an Audit Manager, where he was responsible for executing risked based Internal Audits of Asset Management entities to assess the design and operational effectiveness of the control environment over investment management, regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance, governance, trade surveillance, product development, marketing and distribution.

Sanka holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Business Studies from the University of Warwick – UK, and is a Chartered Accountant holding professional memberships in both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Khaza Chistie was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited in August 2016.

Khaza's key tasks include keeping management aware of the new regulations accounting standards and HSBC best practices, providing strategic direction to senior management and ensuring controls are not compromised with expansion but maintained with adequate staff, increased automation and modern tools.

Prior to joining HSBC SA, Khaza worked in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Saudi Arabia serving as CFO, from 2012 to 2016. Chestie also worked in various roles in HSBC Bank during the period of 1998 & 2012.

Khaza holds a MBA-Finance from Andhra University in India. He also holds professional certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) & Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Hamad Alwashmi was appointed Chief Risk and Compliance Officer as of 1 January 2021, prior to which he was Head of Regulatory & Financial Crime Compliance Department. Hamad has overall 15 year of experience in various sectors of banking both in Arab National Bank and Saudi British Bank. He joined SABB in 2009.

Hamad has an extensive banking experience and led several roles in Compliance and RBWM. His last role in SABB was Head of Customer Experience where he played a key role in promoting and advancing Customer Experience within SABB.

Hamad holds a Bachelor degree in business administration from King Saud University and an MBA from the University of San Diego, School of Business Administration.

Mona Al Alwany was appointed as the Head of Regulatory & Financial Crime Compliance as of 1 January 2021. Mona joined HSBC Saudi Arabia in April 2015.

Mona has strong experience in various banking specialties which she gained by holding several roles in Compliance at HSBC Saudi Arabia, such as senior manager of regulatory compliance, and Assistant Compliance Officer at the Arab National Bank, which she joined initially during 2007.

Mona Holds a bachelor Degree from Umm Al-Qura University. Also, she holds several professional certificates such as International Compliance Association (ICA),International Advanced Certificate in Compliance & Anti  Money Laundering, and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). 

Zarrar Mirza was appointed Head of Legal & Company Secretary of HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited (HSBC SA) in June 2015, having been Senior Legal Counsel since May 2014. He is responsible for all legal matters for the company, and to drive excellence in Corporate Governance to support delivery of HSBC SA strategy to the expectations of the shareholders and the regulators.

Prior to joining HSBC SA, he was Senior Legal Counsel for Banking and Finance at Samba Financial Group, Saudi Arabia for six years. He has also served in private practice with law firms in Manchester, United Kingdom and Pakistan.

Zarrar is Lifetime Member of Punjab Bar Council, Pakistan, Lahore High Court Bar Council, Pakistan. He holds a Master in International Business Law from University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Madhur Bhandari joined HSBC Saudi Arabia (HSBC SA) in 2014 and has led Securities Services business since then.  In his capacity as the Head of the Securities Services business, he is responsible for leading and developing the Direct Custody and Clearing, Fund Services and Issuer Services business lines.

Prior to his current position in HSBC SA, he has done different roles with HSBC Group in Oman, Bahrain and India.

He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and also holds degrees in Law and Commerce from the Rajasthan University in India.

Fouzan has overall 25 years of experience between retail and investment services, he has been responsible for the retail business in HSBC Saudi Arabia (Brokerage & Asset management clients ) since 2015.
